LUVS Bear Hug Stretch

October 12th, 2007

So, I had the opportunity to try out the new LUVS Bear Hug Stretch.   I have mentioned on this blog my problem with the toot’s diapers leaking… and since he’s a size 6, I can’t just move him up a size.  (Note to those who don’t know: if you are experiencing a lot of leaking and you CAN move up a size, it’s time!)

The latest LUVS has a side tab stretch feature that is designed to provide additional leakage protection.  Did it work?  To be honest, not for me.  They still leaked.  However, they didn’t leak out the sides.  The toot always leaks out the top of his diapers.  So, if you are looking for a diaper to try for your little guy or gal and you see a lot of leaking out the sides vs. the top, this might be the diaper for you.  Especially if you have a gal… I think they would work much better on a girl than a boy.

On the up-side, LUVS are cheaper compared to Pampers and Huggies, at $7.97-$8.97 for a 40-count package.

For the toot, though, I think I will stick to my old stand-by, Kirkland, and hope potty training is around the corner.

A size 6? And still leaking? That is rough! I have used 3 different diaper brands for 3 different kids. Its all about how they are built I think.
